DELL Customer Service: An Unexpected Journey by Dellwon't Fixthings - DELL INSPIRON 15 7559

The problem was my laptop would not recognise the battery and would not power on, unless plugged in for some reason.
First it started off by me trying to contact them about the problem. Twice i rang up, entered my service number in, explained what the problem was, got put through to a 'technician', who then would ask the same questions that i just answered on the automated system, only to then, direct my call to another 'technician'. But it appeared that this wasn't just any technician, it was a mute technician, because he never actually spoke. I could hear noise in the background, but no voices, so i would then eventually give up and put the phone down, because it was not fun speaking to myself.
A few days later, I felt brave and got the courage to ring up again. This time the service was a little better (or so i thought). The technician made me do a few tests, including a diagnostic test at the end, where i then needed to give them the error code it was displaying...to which they determined to mean the battery inside, was faulty and needed to be replaced.
A technician was then supposed to come and deliver the new battery, while collecting the old one and if i was not in, they would try again I was told. However, i received a note through the door, telling me I needed to go and collect it from a shop, a fair distance away from my house and the old battery was never collected by them.
It then came as no surprise to me, that replacing the battery, did not fix the issue (I mean I did tell them, the battery clearly worked, I thought it would more likely be a problem with the BIOS, but i trusted their unfaltering knowledge of error codes nevertheless).
So, i messaged them again, to thank them for the efforts, but they should now try to have a few more guesses as to what part needs replacing, until they eventually get it right. After a few conversations, they decided to send out an on-site engineer to fix the problem. This sounded far more promising, I was getting hopeful now lol. HOWEVER, when the day finally came that the technician would arrive...i was informed that the on-site technician, became just a technician, because he could not make it on site lol, as his car chose to break down. See even their cars don't want to work for them :D Anyway, i received several more phone calls and another technician supposedly went to collect the parts, needed for this belated repair job. He arrived and I finally saw the light at the end of this disastrous tunnel...until the tunnel collapsed, when he opened the box, only to see that the motherboard was snapped in half.
I am boarding an 18 hour flight, on Monday, where i would very much of liked my laptop to work, but they told me nothing could be done about that now.
The End.
