Dell Warranty and Suppoer - Inspiron 4010

Two and a half years ago I bought a Dell Inspiron Laptop. When ordering it online, there was an option to extend the 1 year warranty into a 3 year warranty. I chose to do so and have regretted it ever since. About 6 months into it, I called to complain about my computer freaking out. They told me they couldn't help me because I hadn't purchased the software warranty. I figured ok, my bad for not reading the fine print. I called again about 6 months later a piece of my screen had broken. They told me the problem wasn't sever enough for them to come out and fix it but they would come fix it when I had more serious problem. At this point, I was loathe to call Dell for anything. Recently, my computer hasn't been turning on because the battery is dead and the AC Adapter is not working well. I call Dell again and am told that my warranty only covers parts, which does not include batteries (I don't understand that one at all). When I explained my frustration with purchasing the warranty, they also told me that the warranty no longer covered my screen (which they wouldn't fix when I called when it was protected). When I pressed further to figure out what exactly my warranty covered, the customer service rep hung up on me. When I tried calling back, the 24/7 service had closed. There is nothing I can say that would fully express my regret in buying a Dell or purchasing the extended warranty, which is clearly just a way for Dell to take advantage of unsuspecting customers and get more money out of a laptop purchase.
